Justin’s Take

This video is invaluable if you're genuinely considering the tour. Rather than selling you on the idea, it simply shows you the real experience: the exact ticket price, the briefing you'll receive, the flight path, the views, and what to expect when you land. No hidden surprises, no exaggeration.

What impressed me most was how the narration provides genuine geological and historical context—you learn why the water level changes, how the gorge formed over millennia, and why erosion has slowed. It transforms the tour from a simple sightseeing flight into an educational journey. If you're torn between ground-level attractions and a helicopter tour, this honest walkthrough makes the decision clear.

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the ride of your life. >> Hello everyone. Today we're taking you on a scenic tour around Niagara Falls on a helicopter. So, keep watching till the end to see all the beautiful sights. The tickets are about 209 plus taxes per person and the ride is about 12 minutes

long. >> As we begin our spectacular journey, we ask that you please keep your seat belts fastened for the entire flight. >> Wow, what a smooth takeoff. >> This is the quietest helicopter in the >> [music] >> world. More importantly, it's also the safest

helicopter ever produced. So, relax and enjoy this unique aerial view of Niagara. [music] You're in good company. We fly over 100,000 people every [music] year, among such celebrities as Sir Richard Branson, Sir Elton John, actor Russell Crowe, >> [music] >> and golf legend Greg Norman.

Looking downstream [music] as we climb over the Whirlpool Golf Course, you can get a spectacular view of the water level which fluctuates during the heat of summer. [music] The combined local generating plants divert river water to create hydroelectricity. The water level drops significantly when energy needs are

high. This section of the Niagara River below the falls >> Here you can [music] see both the Niagara Falls and the nice steam rising from them. >> In 1938, when ice actually destroyed the Upper Steel Arch Bridge, but this combination of mist and cold as well. Throughout the winter,

enjoy live concerts, daily fireworks, relax with a picnic, and delight in the night of attractions and activities. The Niagara River Parkway is the only road that passes through the park, which stretches for 58 km from Fort Erie to Niagara-on-the-Lake. The Niagara Parks Commission,

established in 1885, preserves the parklands and keeps the entire stretch of parkway clean [music] and beautiful. The falls are inspiring in every season.

To the most unique wonders, snow and ice build up at the base of the falls. During intense storms, an ice [music] bridge forms between Canada and the United States. Decades ago, it was called the winter recreation and people would stroll over this natural ice bridge. That's what they called the ice bridge.

Until the day the ice broke, sending three people down the river and many others drowned in their icy waters. A larger than usual [music] ice break occurred again in 1938 and actually destroyed the Upper Steel Arch Bridge in 1941. But this combination of ice and water is deadly as well.

The recreation is to set up a small tourist attraction on the surrounding parklands, transforming the winter frozen landscape. The ice fishing and other winter activities and the wonderful lights to enjoy The strong winds, the lush gardens and the lower parklands [music] reveal why it is a favorite year-round

destination for thousands of tourists every year. >> [music] >> As we make our way to the Great Gorge, we have a few [music] more experiences to share. the Spanish Aero Car about 1,500 ft below us.

This aerial tram carries the mesmerizing [music] waters of the Niagara River. The force of this current is so strong that objects can be caught in these swirling waters for weeks before escaping into the lower river. Normally, the whirlpools counterclockwise. However, when the river level is low,

the whirlpool actually changes direction. An extraordinary natural phenomenon. The lowest water level occurs naturally during the summer. Because the local generating plants divert river water to create hydroelectricity, >> [music] >> the water level drops significantly when energy demands are high.

>> [music] >> This section of the Niagara River below the falls is called [music] the Niagara Gorge. A favorite destination for hikers, nature lovers, and recreational fishermen. Most scientists believe that 12,000 years ago, the falls were located >> [music] >> at Queenston and have been receding downstream

to their current location. And actually eroded their way along this stretch of Niagara River >> [music] >> at a rate of about 1 m per year. In the early 1950s, when the hydro plants began diverting water, the erosion rate slowed to only about 1 ft per century. When the first European family came to

see the falls, Father Hennepin in 1678, the falls would have been close to their current location. And maybe Horseshoe Falls would have been at the location followed by the American As the rate of erosion wore down the falls, the Bridal Veil actually wore and was actually destroyed in the

American Falls. Thankfully, according to their calculations, we still have about 2,000 years to enjoy them just as they are.

>> [music] [music]

[music] >> Thank you for flying with Niagara Helicopters and have a wonderful stay in Niagara. Have a great day and a safe journey home. And remember your complimentary photograph which is now ready for you in our photo studio. >> [music]

[music] >> Nice smooth landing.

>> [music] [music] >> Here's us walking back towards um exit and where we picked up our photos. And overall [music] the ride was

fantastic.
