Frequently Asked Questions About Carnival Festival
What makes Carnival Festival different from other Excel Class ships like Mardi Gras and Celebration?
The biggest differences are the removal of the BOLT roller coaster and its replacement with a much larger, multi-activity water park called Sensation Point; the addition of Studio 724, a fully immersive two-deck music and nightlife zone with integrated sound and lighting; and an overall shift toward music-festival-inspired social zones and casual, street-style dining over formal experiences.
Is Carnival Festival suitable for families with young children?
The video highlights Club O2 for older teens, The Warehouse with games and activities for kids, and the water park on Sensation Point, suggesting family-friendly options exist. However, the ship's core identity centers on adult nightlife and energetic party zones, so families may find it more social and loud than traditional cruises. Guests with young children should verify specific age-gated activities and childcare offerings before booking.
How much does it cost to cruise on Carnival Festival?
The video does not disclose specific pricing. Carnival Cruise Line and travel agencies like Cruises It handle bookings; rates vary based on cabin type, departure date, and length of cruise. The video encourages booking through travel agencies to access exclusive discounts unavailable through direct Carnival booking.
Are there extra charges for dining at specialty venues like Guy's Burger Joint and RedFrog Tiki Bar?
Guy's Burger Joint is explicitly described as complimentary and included in your cruise fare. RedFrog Tiki Bar and other bar venues sell alcoholic beverages and specialty drinks with associated costs. Most casual food venues shown (Blue Iguana Cantina, Seafood Shack, Street Eats) appear to be included, though the video does not detail all pricing for specialty drinks or premium menu items.
When should I book to ensure availability on Carnival Festival's maiden voyage?
The video emphasizes that bookings are already open and advises booking soon, indicating that popular dates fill quickly. This video is invaluable if you're considering booking a major cruise ship and want to see exactly what to expect room by room and zone by zone. The host walks every deck methodically, explaining how the new music-festival theme shapes the daily experience differently from standard cruises, which helps viewers with specific interests—whether party-focused, family-oriented, or dining-curious—make an informed decision. The detailed descriptions of dining spots, bars, and activity zones give you a genuine sense of where you'll spend your time.
What stands out most is how the video respects that not all cruisers want the same experience: it acknowledges the shift away from the roller coaster and toward a larger water park and social zones, and it doesn't hide the ship's emphasis on music and nightlife. That honesty is refreshing. If you're a social cruiser who thrives on energy, live entertainment, and casual food culture, this is the closest you'll get to understanding the full Carnival Festival before you board—I'd confidently recommend it.

Welcome aboard the brand-new Carnival Festival, Carnival Cruise Line’s newest Excel Class ship launching in 2027! 🚢🎶 In this complete ship tour, we explore everything this incredible new cruise ship has to offer, from immersive music-themed zones and massive entertainment spaces to upgraded dining, nightlife, pools, relaxation areas, and one of the largest water parks Carnival has ever built. If you love cruising, live music, great food, nightlife, social energy, and nonstop fun, this ship was designed for you. Throughout this video, we’ll take a full deck-by-deck walkthrough of Carnival Festival while showing you what’s new, what’s returning from previous Excel Class ships, and why this vessel is quickly becoming one of the most anticipated cruise ships in the world.
Carnival Festival introduces six immersive themed zones that completely change the way guests experience the ship. Grand Central serves as the heart of the vessel with massive LED screens, floor-to-ceiling ocean views, live performances, bars, lounges, and specialty dining all centered around a stunning multi-level atrium. Studio 724 takes Carnival nightlife to another level with immersive lighting, music, DJs, live entertainment, Piano Bar 88, and the popular Alchemy Bar creating a high-energy atmosphere day and night. The Festival zone is inspired by outdoor music festivals and combines food, drinks, entertainment, and social spaces into one vibrant experience where guests can enjoy Pizza Palooza, Rhythm & Rolls Deli, coffee bars, and open-air gathering areas. Summer Landing offers a more laid-back waterfront vibe with Guy’s Pig & Anchor Smokehouse, poolside seating, bars, giant outdoor screens, and relaxing ocean views. The Lido deck keeps the classic Carnival pool atmosphere alive with pools, hot tubs, music, daytime parties, RedFrog Tiki Bar, BlueIguana Cantina, Seafood Shack, and Street Eats all located in the center of the action. And finally, Sensation Point completely transforms the top deck experience with Carnival WaterWorks Ultra, expanded slides, splash zones, ropes courses, sports courts, scenic overlooks, and nonstop energy throughout the day and night.
One of the biggest changes on Carnival Festival is the removal of BOLT, the roller coaster featured on previous Excel Class ships like Mardi Gras and Celebration. In its place, Carnival created a much larger and more immersive water park and activity zone that allows more guests to enjoy multiple attractions at the same time. This expanded top deck area focuses on movement, social interaction, and nonstop activity instead of a single attraction, making Sensation Point one of the most exciting areas anywhere on the ship. Guests can enjoy massive water slides, splash zones, sports courts, jogging tracks, ropes courses, lounge areas, and elevated ocean views all within one giant entertainment zone designed for every age group.

This is the new Carnival Festival, and this ship is basically a floating music festival with insane zones, crazy food, and experiences that you've never seen before on a cruise. If your idea of a vacation is partying, [music] meeting people, and having fun all day long, this might be the perfect ship for
you. In this video, I'm going to show you what's new, what's amazing, and what's still the same. [music] So, by the end of the video, we'll find out if it's really worth all the hype it's getting. I'm Jason with Cruises and Let's get started. Let's start by understanding the six zones on Carnival
Festival, because this is what really makes this ship different. Everything is built around these experiences, [music] and each one has its own vibe. First, you have Grand Central, the heart of the ship. This is a massive multi-level atrium with floor-to-ceiling windows, huge LED screens, and over a thousand
lights changing colors throughout the day. [music] Right in the center, you have a stage with live performances happening all the time. Plus, bars, lounges, and dining like sushi [music] and teppanyaki. This is the place where your cruise really starts, and where you'll keep coming back every night.
Then, you have Studio 724, [music] and this is one of the most unique concepts on the ship. This is a two-deck zone built around music, where sound, lighting, and visuals all work together to create a fully immersive [music] experience. You'll find live music, DJ-style environments, and popular
[music] spots like Alchemy Bar and Piano Bar 88, plus new venues designed around that music energy. This is where Carnival takes nightlife to [music] another level. Next is the Festival, and this is exactly what it sounds like, an outdoor zone inspired by music festivals, where you can walk, eat,
drink, and just enjoy the atmosphere all day long. You've got casual food spots like pizza and deli-style [music] bites, coffee bars, and open spaces that completely change the vibe from day to night. This is one of the most social areas on the [music] ship. Then, you have Summer Landing, which is more
relaxed and laid-back. This is your waterfront and indoor [music] chill zone with outdoor seating, poolside vibes, and great food. You'll find places like Guy's Pig & Anchor Smokehouse and barbecue, fresh brewed beer, a pool [music] bar, and even soft-serve ice cream. This is where you come when you
want to slow things down, but still enjoy the atmosphere. After that, you have Lido, the classic Carnival pool deck. This is where you'll find the main pools, lounge chairs, and that signature cruise vibe with music, [music] big screens, and people hanging out all day. You also get a ton of food options here
like Guy's Burger [music] Joint, seafood tacos, and international street food style bites. [music] This is the center of daytime activity on the ship. And finally, Sun Station Point, the top deck where everything goes to another level. This area features one of the biggest water [music] parks Carnival has ever
built with slides, mini golf, a ropes course, [music] sports areas, and even scenic spots to relax. You'll also find food, drinks, and entertainment. And at night, this whole area transforms with [music] events and energy. This is easily one of the biggest highlights of the entire
ship. Now that you understand how the ship is organized, let's talk about what's new and [music] what parts of the formula that made these ships so popular that are still here. But first, it's important to understand something. Carnival Venezia is part of Carnival's Excel class, the same as the Mardi Gras,
Celebration, and Jubilee. So yes, a lot of the foundation of this ship is something we've already seen before, but there's a slight difference. Now, this ship is going to debut in May of 2027, and bookings are already open. So if you want to book this ship or any other Carnival ship or any cruise ship, make
sure you give me a call, and there's a good reason why. We offer [music] discounted rates. We've been doing this over a decade, and I got into this business because I'm a cruiser and I figured [music] out how to save cruisers money. We do it in many different ways. We buy [music] a group space years in
advance, we get incentives directly from Carnival that we can pass on to you that [music] you can't get through them, and we give you exclusive agency discounts. How do we do exclusive agency discounts? It's simple. It's because of our volume. Our organization books thousands of bookings with Carnival every single
month and they love us, so they allow [music] us to offer you their cabins at a discounted rate. When you call us, you save money, and I know you want to save money. Of course you do. So, make sure you give us a call. So, let's talk about some of the new things that you're going to find on this ship that you're not
going to find on the other ships in the class. The biggest upgrade on this ship is the focus on music. Zones like 724 are designed to be fully immersive with lighting, sound, and visuals all working together creating more of [music] a concert or a club experience than anything we've seen on previous XL
ships. This is Carnival pushing nightlife [music] to the next level. Carnival is going bigger on the top deck. Sensation Point takes everything from previous XL [music] ships and makes it more dynamic with a larger water park, more activities, day-to-night transformation. This is one of the
biggest improvements visually, which is going to be an excellent experience. Carnival keeps [music] expanding its casual dining. You're getting new spots and more variety. Leaning more into quick bites, street [music] style food, social eating, less formal, more fun. This ship isn't reinventing the wheel.
It's taking everything that worked on the Mardi Gras, the Celebration, and the Jubilee and turning [music] it into a more immersive, more social, and more fun experience. Now that we've discovered all the new features and the same amazing formula that made [music] Carnival cruises so fun, let's do a
quick but powerful walk through on how the XL class is built. [music] We're going to do this tour exactly how you like it, deck by deck and venue by venue, starting from the top and working our way all the way down to the lower decks, so you can really feel everything this ship has to offer. Let's start with
deck 16. This is the famous beach pool, and I'm pretty sure you've seen those incredible videos with people dancing all together. Well, yes, this is where it all happens. This area is not just one of the many pools on the ship. It's actually the main daytime hub where everything comes together. Carnival
Festival features >> [music] >> multiple pools and hot tubs across the ship, but this is the one where you're going to feel the energy the most. [music] You've got a large main pool right in the center, surrounded by lounge chairs, bars nearby, and people constantly coming in and out, so it
always feels alive. Right in the middle, you'll also find a hot tub, which [music] becomes part of the experience, not just for relaxing, but for being right in the middle of the action. Around [music] the pool, you'll see people dancing, groups hanging out, music playing, drinks going around, and
that's really what makes this area special. You can come here to chill for a bit, [music] or you can stay all day and be part of the energy, because this is one of those places where something is always happening. And let's be [music] honest, there's no fun without drinks. So, right here in the same area,
you'll find one of the most talked about spots on the ship, the Red Frog Tiki Bar. This is one of those places that cruise fans always come back to. Tropical drinks, frozen cocktails, Caribbean vibes, and a bar that's always busy. >> [music] >> It's right in the middle of all the
action, so you can grab a drink, hang out, and still be part of everything happening around [music] you. This is the kind of spot where you stop for one drink and end up staying a lot longer. And after all that fun, one thing I really like is how easy [music] it is to grab food without leaving the vibe.
Right here, you'll find three super convenient [music] spots that are perfect to keep the party going. First, Blue Iguana Cantina. This is your go-to for fresh tacos and burritos, quick, flavorful, and perfect when you don't want to sit [music] down for a full meal. Then you have the Seafood Shack,
great for things like lobster rolls, fried seafood, and those classic seaside flavors, simple but really good. And finally, Street Eats, which brings [music] a more street style food concept with different options depending on the day, from loaded fries to global bites, always something fun and easy to try.
And that's what makes this area work [music] so well. You don't have to leave the energy to eat. Everything is right here, fast, casual, and built to keep the day going. Let's head all the way to the back of the ship because this is another really cool area. This is the Vista Pool, a
more laid-back space compared to the main pool with amazing ocean views right behind [music] you. It still has great energy, but it feels a little more relaxed. Perfect if you want to enjoy the vibe without [music] being right in the middle of the crowd. And right here, you'll also find one of those popular
food spots on any Excel Class ship, Big Chicken, created by Shaquille O'Neal. And yes, [music] this is 100% complimentary. Yay! You'll find things like crispy chicken sandwiches, tenders, fries, simple but really good. And it's one of those places people keep coming back to during
the cruise. Now, as we move through this area, you can start [music] to notice part of the new layout of the ship with spaces like Sun Deck Station Sit Bar. Now, let's move into the Lido Marketplace, the main buffet area on the ship. This is where you'll find a huge variety of food throughout the day,
breakfast, lunch, dinner, and pretty much something for everyone. Now, there are a lot more dining venues down on the lower decks, and we're going to check those out as soon as we head on down there. Now, folks, keep in mind that if you don't want to give us a call, you can book online with us at
cruisesit.com. We do give back more on board credit than anybody else, [music] but if you have the time to give us a call, that's how we can offer you the best rate guaranteed. It takes an experienced agent to look at all the promotions, the exclusive agency discounts, [music] and everything that
Carnival gives us to offer you. Let's hit up one more deck to deck 17. On this deck, you're definitely going to have at least one burger every single day because in my opinion and in the opinion of a lot of cruisers, this is the best burger at sea. Welcome to Guy's Burger Joint. The place is legendary on
Carnival ships. [music] Fresh burgers made right in front of you, crispy fries, and a toppings bar where you can build it exactly how you like it. And the best part, it's all included. This is one of those spots you try once and then you keep coming back and back [music] again. A lot of times when I'm
on a Carnival ship that offers Guy's burgers, I eat a burger almost every day. Then you have Club O2 for older teens with a more grown-up vibe, music, [music] and a place to just chill and connect with others their age. Right next to that is The Warehouse, packed with games, activities, and interactive
fun that keeps things going throughout the day. And of course, you also have The Vault Retro Arcade bringing that classic arcade vibe with a mix of old school and modern games. So, they really have their own world here, separate from the rest of the ship, but still right in the middle of everything.
>> [music] >> Now, this is part of the new layout on the ship. Welcome to the Scenic Overlook. This is a brand new space at the back of the ship designed to take full advantage of those panoramic ocean views. You've got upgraded seating areas, a more open layout, and a bar that feels a lot more integrated into
the experience. It's the kind of place where you [music] can grab a drink, sit back, and just enjoy the view. But at the same time, it still keeps the Carnival energy making the back of the ship feel more live and more connected than ever. Let's go up one more deck, deck 18, because this is where things
get really exciting. In my opinion, this is one of the best areas on any Carnival Excel class ship. Welcome to Sensation Point, and this is where the energy really explodes. [music] Right here on deck 18, you'll find Carnival WaterWorks Ultra, the biggest water park Carnival has [music] ever built. And here is
something really important. On previous Excel class ships, like the Mardi Gras and Celebration, you had Bolt, the roller coaster. But on Carnival Festival, they actually removed Bolt to create more space [music] for something even bigger, and that's this, a completely expanded water park
experience. We're talking [music] about brand new slides, longer layouts, faster turns, splash zones, and a full area designed for non-stop action. This isn't just an upgrade, it's a complete shift [music] in focus, from one big attraction to multiple experiences that more people can enjoy at the same time.
So, instead of waiting in [music] line for one ride, now you got an entire zone packed with options, movement, and energy everywhere you [music] look. And honestly, this makes this area feel bigger, more dynamic, and way more fun overall. This is easily one of the most fun spots on the entire ship. But it's
not just about slides. Right in the back, you've got [music] a huge open space with lounge chairs all around. So, even if you're not in the water, you're still part of the energy. Then, [music] just above, you'll find the sports court, perfect for basketball and casual games throughout the day. And right next
to it, the ropes course, adding [music] that extra level of adventure with elevated challenges and great views from the top of the ship. You also have a jogging track running through this area, so even if you want to stay [music] active, you're doing it right in the middle of all the action. This entire
space is designed to keep you moving, whether you're sliding, playing, relaxing, or just [music] enjoying the vibe. And that's what makes Sensation Point so [music] special. Ooh, that's a tongue twister. It's not just one attraction, it's a full experience all in one place. Now, let's move up to the
front of the ship, still on [music] Deck 18, because it's not only adrenaline games and sports up here, you also have the Serenity area. This is the adults-only space [music] designed for guests 21 and older, and it's all about slowing things down. Up here, you'll find a dedicated pool, two
large hot tubs, comfortable lounge chairs, shaded areas, and a full bar. So, if you want to take a break from all the energy, this is the place to do it. It's quieter, more relaxed, and perfect for just enjoying ocean views without the crowds. [music] And finally, to wrap up the Upper Decks, this is one of the
most exclusive areas on the ship, a private, [music] elevated space designed for guests looking for a more premium experience. Up here, you'll find upgraded loungers, a quieter atmosphere, and a [music] more refined vibe compared to the rest of the ship. Now that we're done with all the Upper Decks, this is
where the ship really comes alive. Let's start right here with the main venue inside Summer Landing. This is a really cool area filled with seating, tables, music, and a very relaxed social [music] vibe. Right here, you'll find Guy's Pig & Anchor Smokehouse and Brewhouse. And right next to it, you also have the
Heroes Tribute Lounge, a space dedicated to honoring military service with a great atmosphere, strong meaning, and a place where people can come together [music] and connect. Also, you'll notice the big screen right here, which displays sporting events throughout the entire cruise. So, inside Summer
Landing, you already start to feel that mix of great food, good music, and meaningful spaces. Now, let's step outside to the patio. This is where the Summer Landing vibe really comes together. Right here, you've got a pool area surrounded by seating, open space, and that relaxed backyard [music] style
atmosphere. You'll also find the Watering Hole, the poolside bar, perfect for grabbing a drink and just enjoying the moment without going too far. And around [music] the pool, you've got hot tubs, lounge chairs, and plenty of space to hang out. Now, let's go back inside and check out the Festival. This area is
another evolution of the formula that already works, [music] but now taken to the next level. It's inspired by outdoor music festivals where [music] everything comes together in one place, food, music, energy, and people. [music] Here you can stroll, dance, and eat at your own pace, moving
from one spot to another, just enjoying the atmosphere. You'll find places like Pizza Palooza, bringing classic flavors with a creative twist. And Rhythm & Rolls Deli, with fun street style bites inspired by food truck culture. There's also [music] Festival Grounds Coffee and Bar, serving drinks throughout the day,
and then completely changing vibe at night with more energy, music, and a different atmosphere. And just outside, you have the classic Lanai, a signature Carnival space [music] that runs along the side of the ship. This is where you can walk, grab a drink, find some seating, and just enjoy the ocean views.
Let's [music] go back inside and talk about some of the specialty dining spots right here in the middle of the ship with amazing views of Grand Central. First, you have Bonsai Sushi, a great spot for fresh sushi rolls and quick bites, perfect if you want something light but still high quality. Right next
to it, you'll find Bonsai Teppanyaki, a full dining experience where chefs cook right in front of you with that classic show, flavors, and energy [music] that makes it a really fun meal. And then you have Chi Bang, one of those most unique concepts on the ship [music] combining Mexican and Chinese flavors into one
menu. It's bold, different, and definitely something you don't see on most cruise ships. At the finish this deck, you'll find the Havana Bar. This is a really unique space inspired by Cuban [music] culture where the vibe completely changes from day to night. During the day, it feels more relaxed,
almost like a quiet retreat. But, [music] as the sun goes down, this place comes alive with music, dancing, and that classic Latin energy. Now, let's move down to deck seven starting with the Festival Theater. This is the main venue for big shows, live performances, and headline entertainment with multiple
seating levels and great views from almost everywhere. It's where you'll come at night for the main productions and one of those spots you don't want to miss. Right next to it, you'll find the Festival Casino, one of my favorite spots. This is where the energy keeps going at night with slot machines, table
games, and that classic casino atmosphere. [music] It's lively, it's social, and definitely one of the busiest spots on the ship [music] after dark. Another big improvement on the ship is Studio 724. This two-deck venue is still the heart of the music and nightlife [music] on board where
everything comes together, lighting, live performances, amazing drinks, all in one place. This is where the ship really comes alive at night. On this level, you'll also find the Limelight Lounge, a versatile venue known for comedy shows, live performances, and different types of entertainment
throughout the cruise, making it a fun spot that changes [music] depending on the night. Right here, you'll also find Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse [music] or 555, however you like to say it, one of the premium dining experiences [music] on the ship. This is where you come for high-quality cuts of steak, a more
refined atmosphere, and a quieter, more upscale dining experience. [music] It's perfect if you're looking to take a break from the casual spots and enjoy a more classic, elegant [music] dinner. And to finish this deck, let's talk about the main dining room. This is a two-deck venue with beautiful decor and
a really nice atmosphere. [music] The service here is always on point and it's a great place to sit down, relax, and enjoy a full meal. You can come here for breakfast or dinner with a menu that changes and offers a variety of options every night. [music] We're now on deck six. So, let's continue discovering this
amazing ship. Let's continue talking about food [music] options. This is Carnival Kitchen. This is a unique space where you can actually take cooking classes during your cruise, learning how to prepare different dishes, trying new flavors, and have a more hands-on experience. >> [music]
>> And to finish this area, let's check out Melody Restaurant. This is one of those main dining rooms on the ship, located here on deck six. It has a warm, music-inspired atmosphere and offers a more traditional sit-down dining [music] experience. You can come here for breakfast or dinner with a menu that
changes and gives you a variety of options throughout the cruise. Let's talk about Studio 724, now on the lower deck. This amazing zone is all about music, people having fun, and discovering new drinks. Right here, you'll find the Alchemy Bar, known for hand-crafted cocktails [music] and a
more interactive mixology-style experience. And also, the Spark Bar, bringing a brighter, more energetic vibe, perfect to stay in the middle of the action. This area was already a hit on previous ships, but [music] with new upgrades, it feels even more immersive, more fun, more party, and even more
Carnival. And right next to it, you have Java Blue Cafe, your go-to place for coffee, pastries, and quick bites. great to start your day or take a break between activities. [music] And finally, let's talk about another amazing zone, one that was already incredible, but now Carnival is pushing
even further, Grand Central. This is the heart of the ship and the first space that really sets the tone for your entire vacation. The moment you walk in, you look up and it's hard not to be impressed. Floor-to-ceiling windows, [music] massive LED screens, and a ceiling filled with over a thousand
