Questions Cruisers Ask About Icon of the Seas

The Royal Theater features major productions like The Wizard of Oz and Affectors. The Music Hall offers live music, game shows, and late-night clubbing. The Aquadome hosts diving and acrobatic shows. Additionally, venues like the Dueling Pianos Bar and various lounges provide live entertainment throughout the day and evening.

Yes. The main dining room serves complimentary breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily. The Aquadome Market is a new complimentary food hall with five food stands. Surfside Eatery offers a complimentary buffet with kids' favorites and elevated contemporary options. However, specialty restaurants like Giovanni's, Chops, Hooked, and the Empire Supper Club charge upcharges.
What water activities are available?
The Icon features seven pools total across multiple decks and neighborhoods. The ship includes a full water park called Category 6 with a FlowRider, Chill Island pool area, Swim & Tonic bar, and Thrill Island features. The Surfside neighborhood also has family-focused water attractions like Splashway Bay.
How large is Icon of the Seas compared to other cruise ships?
Icon of the Seas is the world's largest cruise ship with a gross tonnage of 248,020 tons, 20 decks, and capacity for 7,600 passengers. It is the first of Royal Caribbean's Icon Class ships, built at the Meer Turku Shipyard and representing the newest generation of mega-ships.
This video is invaluable for anyone seriously considering a Royal Caribbean cruise or upgrading to the Icon. It gives you an honest, unrushed look at every major public space, restaurants, bars, lounges, and entertainment venue without sales pitch—exactly what you need to decide if this ship matches your vacation style.
What impressed me most was how the video walks through the Aquadome neighborhood and the reimagined Central Park, showing you the sheer scale and thoughtfulness of the design. The tour takes time at each deck, explaining what's exclusive (like the Crown Lounge for diamond members) and what's included for everyone. If you're booking a cruise, this is worth 25 minutes of your time—spots fill fast, and you'll book with confidence once you've seen where you'll actually spend your days.
