Great Barrier Reef by Helicopter: A 45-Minute Aerial Tour from Port Douglas

This video captures a 45-minute helicopter flight over the Great Barrier Reef departing from Port Douglas, Queensland, filmed in 4K to showcase the scale and colour of one of the world's most iconic natural wonders. The tour follows a scenic route that includes Four Mile Beach, multiple reef formations, and the Low Isles, offering a perspective of the reef that ground-based visits cannot match. Port Douglas is an ideal home base for this experience, combining easy access to the reef with accommodation and dining options in a compact, walkable town.

On this trip we decided to see the Great Barrier Reef by Air to get a different perspective of the Natural Wonder. We booked the 45 minute Low Isles Reef tour through our Hosts at the Port Douglas Outrigger ( a lovely place to stay btw https://www.pdo.com.au/ ).
We were all really impressed by just how massive the Reef is. This video even though in 4K does NOT do it justice, every moment is stunning and amazing to see.
The flight company is Nautilus.
