in today's video we cruise around the napoli coast with captain andes next on jaycation [Music] what's up technicationers welcome back to another video here in the hawaii series today we are in kauai on a captain andy's sailboat tour and i'm just going to show you guys everything and anything you need to know
about booking a tour trip up the napoli coast let's rewind back to jj back at the captain andy's office to explain how to get reservations and how to check in [Music] check in to captain andy's sailing tour is pretty easy for this tour it starts at 2 30. they tell you to get here
around 2 15. so you know give yourself maybe give or take 15 minutes maybe get here at two walk around check out some souvenirs you can go to kauai island brewery what you can do is online you can sign your waiver electronically so you don't have to do it when you check in here and then when you get to the
front of captain andy's they have a qr code and you just got to press a couple more things you'll get your passes onto the boat pretty simple process to get onto this napoli coast sailing tour since this is a sunset cruise i had to wear my sunset hawaiian shirt and we are going to be cruising around the napali
coast which you will notice scenes from jurassic park were filmed over there so i'm really excited to finally see the napoli coast so let's go over and head to the boat what happens is at 2 30 you're inside the office here you can pick up a few souvenirs and then the captains will come here for 2 30 pickup
and take you over to the sailboats yeah you could come here i got this long sleeve uh captain andy shirt for 28 bucks a little souvenir [Music] so there is gravel parking here for captain andes if you guys are driving in from another part of the island so plenty of parking so we're gonna be on the inside
catamaran we're gonna be going down this this gangway head down to the main cabin there's great storage for bags in there all along the shelves behind the the seating areas we're gonna hang out in there for a moment do a quick safety briefing i am gonna be scanning those qr codes or taking last names as we get on
the vessel oh we got this blue shoe cart oh that's for shoe parking right um slippers sandals shoes can go in there if you need your shoes for any medical conditions you guys are welcome to them but it is definitely the safest way to get around the boat barefoot so they do recommend that you take your shoes off
and they have a shoe rack that you can put it in and they'll store it for you until you get back off board they said it's the safest way they also have cupboards for you to put your bags in sometimes it gets a little cool out in the water so you might want to bring a sweatshirt even if it's hot

i'm going to be your guy's captain today hi again um i'm gonna be stuck in the helm today so come hang out with me i'll let you drive the boat i need a break or two throughout the day so you come hang out up for crew today we've got sarah anything you guys need throughout the
trip right let them know all you gotta do is lift a finger whether it be another beverage right a high five a hug conditions in the summer time are usually actually pretty mild for us um mild for us might not be mild for you so get ready it gets a little bouncy sometimes it's all part of the adventure right all
right jaycationers so for this cruise i am joined with my cousins let me introduce you guys this is my cousin kim we're hanging out and this is my cousin mark
per person to come here all you can drink they don't start the adult beverages until they come back towards the coast that's just you know make sure everybody doesn't get freaking boozed up way too much but you still have a nice two and a half hour span of time to start drinking so we're starting off
with water gotta hydrate anyways they do suggest that you book months in advance now if they're full and you can't find a date that you want they suggest that you keep checking because as time goes by and it gets closer to a date sometimes people drop their reservations and a couple open up here
and there so i would suggest that you just keep checking especially if the day that you want to go is already booked five hour trip up to the napoli coast to see some of the most beautiful coastline in all of the world it's very gorgeous they call it the grand canyon of the pacific

uh in the winter time there is giant waves so that was awesome we got to see a bunch of dolphins around the napoli coast they all came out and started jumping up and down so those are spinner dolphins and they were all coming up wow it was cool that's a really cool experience and
now we're seeing the crazy clips of the napoli coast [Music] they estimate these islands to be about five million years old that is crazy and me and my cousin are just checking out the caves and the clips it's a beautiful day here we're out in the front of the boat now and we're like
surfing but we're taking some no pics thirsty dude i need some beer [Music] like no joke guys waterfalls on
waterfalls on waterfalls on these clip signs so crazy [Music] do
right behind me is where they felt the first jurassic park movie a few of the scenes that is amazing coastline right there so it's fresh pog juice with the orange and guava juice with vodka gin and rum and it's got like a dark brown floater on top of it what was the name again
oh cheers here at the bar and they just started serving cocktails because we turned around this is what they call the sneaky tiki we're gonna take a sip of this and yeah you get as much as you want the rest of the way they said if you can't say sneaky tiki by the end of the night that's when you
know you've had too much oh yeah oh yeah starting off with the salad here looks like they have some sort of vinaigrette with it yes you got that sweet vinaigrette taste to it nice mix of stuff
a bit of sourness to it i like it also looks like we got a little bit of blue cheese yum dinner is served looks like we got a nice steak here with two jumbo shrimp some potatoes some asparagus carrots that kim just dropped on the ground some grilled asparagus looks really good start off
with the carrots what's up doc yeah that's yummy i love myself some asparagus try out the meat here no we want another
not super juicy but seasoned really well [Music] i'm not going to lie to you i'm experiencing a little bit of seasickness after showing off saying that i don't get seasick i did this in croatia for eight days blah blah blah blah blah now i'm like at the front
of the sailboat and this is really helping with my nausea right now so that's why i'm out here so i'm enjoying this cheesecake with lime on top with the views of the napolicos look at this this is amazing all right guys so we're enjoying this beautiful sunset my stomach finally
settled in and i'm not nauseous anymore so i'm gonna have myself a long board of course cheers cuz yes [Music]
the reason why i probably ended up getting motion sickness is because i like feeling like i'm on a roller coaster and i'm sitting here in the very front of the boat just riding these waves i'm from oklahoma city nice shout out to oakland okc okc hey man having fun definitely what's up garrett not much
you know just paddling nepali coast watching beautiful sunset you know uh yeah what do we have for dinner tonight man i was filet mignon with uh shrimp and we had uh oven roasted potatoes with uh grilled asparagus and carrots and then for dessert we had a key lime cheesecake super good and how long did it take you

beautiful day nice sunsets like this one people think that because it's bouncier in the front about they might feel more motion sickness from there but if you're up there you're getting hit by sea spray uh you feel the wind you can see the horizon clearly you can see the waves coming right so you're actually going to
feel better up there right it's like you're driving the car yeah you're in the front seat versus on the backseat looking at a phone or something right it feels like it's it's the same thing right it's like disneyland dude exactly yeah you're more engaged it's a lot better ride up there yeah
well i appreciate it man yeah thanks man thank you man the sky is beautiful right now this right here is the definition of swag surfing i also wanted to tell you a little story about my uncle bob who passed away when i was 16. my last conversation with him was about
him wanting to scuba dive here in kauai at a place called hookah reef and uh hit tagalog hookah means something else well you know i'm not going to say the actual word but it's safe to say i promised him that i would make it here guarantee we passed puka pukeiri
