Overview of the Swiss Helicopter Experience in Interlaken

This video documents a scenic helicopter tour review from Swiss Helicopters, based just 5–6 minutes by car from Interlaken town center. The experience combines aerial sightseeing over the famous Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau mountains—including views of the Aletsch Glacier, Europe's largest—with opportunities to book complementary experiences like skydiving. The video captures both the ground logistics and an actual flight, showing what passengers see from inside the aircraft and how the operation runs day-to-day.

This tour suits adventurous travelers visiting Switzerland who want to see the Alps from above without committing to a full-day mountain trek. It works equally well for first-time helicopter fliers and those seeking a luxury mountain experience. The location near Interlaken makes it convenient for visitors already exploring the region, and the flexible group sizes mean solo travelers, couples, and families can all find an option.

Planning Your Swiss Helicopters Visit: Practical Details

  • Location & Transfer: Swiss Helicopters operates from a base near Interlaken; most hotels are 6–7 minutes away by car. Martin (the operator) can arrange taxi pickup if needed, though this is not standard.
  • Flight Options & Pricing: Three main sightseeing circuits are offered. Prices range from 150–660 Swiss francs per person depending on flight length. The Jungfrau return trip costs 1,400 francs (one-way is 850 francs). A minimum of three passengers is required to access the lowest group rates.
  • Helicopter Type: Tours operate in an Airbus H125, a French-made aircraft that seats up to four passengers at the back plus one in the cockpit next to the pilot.
  • Booking & Flexibility: Swiss Helicopters works closely with local operators like Skydive Interlaken. Group departures depend on other bookings at the same time; tours can be shared or chartered privately. The video shows Martin's company can bundle the helicopter flight with hotel, car transfers, and other activities.
  • Best Time: The video was filmed in clear, sunny conditions with excellent visibility—ideal for photography and views. Weather and daylight hours will affect availability.
  • What to Bring: The video shows passengers dressing in warm layers due to high altitude and wind chill; bring a jacket even in summer.

Frequently Asked Questions About Swiss Helicopter Tours

How long is a typical helicopter flight?

The video doesn't specify exact flight durations, but Martin explains that pricing depends on flight length, with options ranging from 150–660 Swiss francs. Shorter circuits would naturally take less time than longer mountain tours.

Is this experience safe for first-time fliers?

The video shows first-time jumpers excited and boarding the helicopter without hesitation, and Martin's team operates multiple daily flights, suggesting a well-established, routine operation. No safety concerns are mentioned. All aircraft undergo regular technical inspections (Martin notes machines are checked frequently over weeks or months).

Can I book a private flight, or must I share with other passengers?

Yes, you can charter the helicopter privately with your group, but you'll pay for all seats. Alternatively, you can share with other groups on the same route if bookings align. Martin states they are flexible with arrangements and can organize tours through travel partners.

What mountains will I see on the flight?

Depending on the circuit chosen, you'll see the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau, plus views of the Aletsch Glacier and surrounding crevasses. Circuit 1 focuses on the Eiger's famous north face, Circuit 2 follows the north faces of Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau, and Circuit 3 includes the Aletsch Glacier and interior mountain world.

Can I combine the helicopter tour with skydiving?

Yes. The video shows Skydive Interlaken picking up passengers from hotels, bringing them to Swiss Helicopters, and then conducting jumps from 10,000–12,000 feet. Martin confirms Swiss Helicopters works closely with the skydiving operator, and the travel company featured can book both experiences together.

Justin’s Take

This video is genuinely useful if you're considering a best helicopter tour in the Swiss Alps. It pulls back the curtain on how the operation actually works—you meet the pilot, see the aircraft up close, watch real passengers board, and understand the pricing model and booking process firsthand rather than just reading a website.

What struck me most was the candid interview with Martin, who explains not just the three flight circuits but also the economics (50–60 francs per minute operating cost, which justifies the per-seat pricing) and the flexibility his team offers for custom bookings. The bonus of seeing both the helicopter experience and the fresh alpine water stop in Grindelwald rounds out the day nicely. If you're serious about booking a mountain flight in Switzerland, this video will help you decide whether it suits your budget and expectations—and I'd recommend watching it before calling to reserve.

whenever you want to travel to switzerland interlaken uk europe anywhere we are the right person to get in touch with you know we we know all these people and we can get you the best experience with the best prizes that's their car they would pick you up from your hotel in interlaken skydive

interlaken and then they bring you here at the swiss helicopter and now i'm going to show you how do they take off and they will jump off from 10 000 feet in a parachute getting ready to take off yes this is musab hello hi four times skydiving oh wow three two three times this is the fourth one too

quick and you gentlemen first time excited both of you yes great great great we'll be filming you so this is the helicopter they will be taking off here these are a couple of flights which are offered by the swiss helicopter they've got maps there and

these are all the flights and the pricing [Music] and i always recommend to go to mount hyung for york with a helicopter but this is the jungle flight and that's what they charge so one way to go to jungfrau is 850

and a return trip is 1400 swiss francs again we as a company can book this for you so do let us know if you need any assistance booking this because we can book this with a chauffeured car a hotel in switzerland and of course we can offer you skydiving as well here for sure that's the gentleman

all the best [Music] [Music]

so

so [Music]

so those were two jumpers for the skydive they went in the helicopter the helicopters almost around six to seven thousand feet they're going to go at 10 to 12 000 and jump from there [Music] yeah they were super excited and we hope that they enjoy their flight here i am with the main person of the

swiss helicopter and he's going to give us a little bit of brief about what they do how they do and things like that and again if you want a book swiss helicopter do let us know you can contact them directly as well but of course we can put in your car your hotel and sightseeing together and bring you

right here for this amazing flight so let's talk with the gentleman right here hello sir how are you i'm fine how are you i'm very well very well good to see you nice to meet you at swiss helicopters thank you my name is morton and i will introduce you with our sightseeing flights which you can do

with the helicopters all right out of interlochen we are located about five six minutes away from interlaken by car and we are really close to the famous mountain like eiger monk and jungfrau jungfrau with the top of europe the railway station which is on three and a half thousand

meters above sea level here you get to see where we are located nearby interlocking in wilder's wheel and we do have different sighting flights uh over the lakes and over the city of interlaken for example or to the to the mountain number one is the north face to the famous uh the biggest north face in the alps

number two goes along eigen north face monk no north face you get to see the things from young and you get to see the ceraks all around jungfrau mountain it comes back over loud to blooming to here the number three circuit goes to the backhand side of the mountain from where you can see the interior

mountain world the biggest glacier alleged glacier this is the long installation in the opposite wow wow so these are the kind of flights they offer um yeah they're very rightly based you do you orange transfer from the hotel to your uh base the distance by by car is about six seven minutes from each hotel in

internet each hotel and do do you arrange that if somebody wants to go usually we don't arrange but if you do need help we'll organize you the taxi right to the to the uh hotel door okay that's not a problem great great we also do have for this flight shoot that he introduced you with we do have uh

personal prices like between 150 and 660 francs depends on the length of the flight but remind you have to be minimum three person to be able to do this flight otherwise we can't provide this price right they are pretty low with 150 frames these machines when it's landing in a minute these machines cost per minute

about between 50 and 60 swiss francs so that makes the price here well high so either you can have the helicopter by yourself with your own family and of course you have to pay for the empty seats or else you can share it with other group of members but that all depends if they've got other clients

flying on the same route at that point of time but they are very flexible and we can organize very good tours you see one helicopter landing which i need to show you it's right there

so mr martin thank you very much for talking with us and we hope uh we can have a somewhere a good collaboration with you indian thank you thank you very much mr martin is accompanying us into his hangar beautiful hanger here normally there are a lot of helicopters here but they are away up to four or five

helicopters once a while but right now there is nothing in it because all the machines are flying and at the moment we don't have any machines in the technique uh usually there's at least one machine in the technique right they do have to be controlled very often sometimes for weeks and months right but

the last machine left the hangar before yesterday before yesterday great and you have other bases in switzerland as well we do have a lot of bases all over the swiss alps especially but that one here is the most common or the most famous one because it's very touristic very close to the

big mountains and very close to intellect and so that makes it really famous the other bases are more used by cargo helicopters not like we do have to work in the woods or you know for for all kind of companies to to move goods around i have also seen you do rescue flights in the mountain if someone is stuck with

hiking or something you do that we help to do that this is not our main business right there is a company which called urega they do the whole rescue thing all over switzerland and if they need us we're going to help them okay great

[Music] so we are with uh by inside the hangar so beautiful beautiful we go behind the scenes as well you can see the angle behind us you know originally we both come from mumbai so we know how it's done it's just we've not done it before so guys please do support us please do like subscribe and share the

video and i swear we will never disappoint you trust me you want it's hardly empty just because it's prepared for the sky flight for skydiving so there's anything which could fall off the machines right right right so that's the helicopter we're up close

and personal and soon we'll be taking off in this beauty [Music] a beautiful machine so what is this machine called

which type of helicopter is it this is an acura h125 and it's made in where france it's made in france it's a french it's a french machine let's go inside and see the cockpit so these are the seeds for passengers you can accommodate four at the back and of course one can sit next to the

pilot and that's the pilot cockpit right there [Music]

enjoy [Music] oh yes [Music] bye

[Music] um [Music] [Music]

[Music] you okay

[Music]

so [Music] so

that was the amazing experience with the helicopter and while driving down back to interlaken in fact now we're heading to grindelwald which is the point to go to mount humbrough jungkook right at the top um we saw fresh water field uh where we're gonna get some fresh water i've got my empty bottle of water

hi so whenever i come to switzerland i buy a couple of bottle of water and once it's finished i never buy i just take the empty bottles and we just fill the bottle from here how are you sir hello it's good water yeah very nice very nice cold that's what we want so now i'm gonna fill the water

right here we're gonna fill the water and we will enjoy this water it's very nice and cold water i can feel it on my hands and the water comes from the alps it's pure water that's the water

wow amazing trust me it's amazing water and now i'm gonna have it in indian style as well this is the water which i've filled up for today and i need some more water here because i'm thirsty so let's have it in the indian style just come closer [Music] it's just so yummy

are you also having bottled water which one is it it's evian yeah but you got it from here right yes just me deviant you
