Overview of Genny, a Luxury Sunreef 80 Catamaran Charter in Greece
Genny is an 80-foot Sunreef catamaran available for weekly charter in the Greek islands, priced at $60,000 per week. The video offers a complete walkthrough of the vessel, introducing the seven-person Italian crew and showing every cabin, deck, galley, and water-sports setup. This is a crewed charter, meaning the captain, chef, deckhand, hostess, and engineer are included—a major advantage if you want professional hospitality, gourmet meals, and expert navigation without the stress of sailing the boat yourself.
Genny suits experienced travelers or groups looking for an all-in-one luxury escape across Greece's Cycladic islands and lesser-known bays. Rather than anchoring at crowded tourist hotspots like Santorini and Mykonos, the crew specializes in discovering quieter, secret areas where you can swim, snorkel, and water-ski in peace. If your ideal vacation combines sailing, fine dining, water sports, and the freedom to wake up in a new bay each morning, this yacht experience is worth serious consideration—spots fill fast, with the crew already booked for 12 weeks ahead.

What to Know Before Booking Your Greek Catamaran Week
Duration and speed: Genny cruises at 7–10 knots; the towed chase boat slows her slightly, but this trade-off enables flexible water sports and tender runs
Sailing schedule: Most sailing happens at night; days are spent exploring and swimming in selected anchorages, changing location daily
Crew expertise: The captain and engineer handle navigation and mechanical needs; the chef accommodates Italian, Greek, and international menus; the hostess and deckhand manage onboard life and guest requests
Island strategy: Avoid peak summer crowds at Santorini and Mykonos; the crew will guide you to quieter alternatives and hidden spots nearby
Booking urgency: Already booked 12 weeks in advance for the year; inquire early to secure preferred dates
Amenities: Plastic-free toiletries, drinkable water system, branded bath products, and climate control in all cabins ensure comfort at sea
Frequently Asked Questions About Genny's Greek Sailing Charter
How many guests can Genny accommodate?
Genny hosts a maximum of 10 guests across five double cabins. This smaller group size fosters intimacy and allows the crew to deliver personalized service and attention.
What is included in the $60,000-per-week rate?
The rate covers the vessel, all seven crew members, meals prepared by the chef, most water toys and activities, and the use of the chase boat for transfers and water sports. Fuel, beverages, and port fees may be separate—confirm with the charter company.
Do I need sailing experience to book Genny?
No. Genny is a crewed charter, so you don't sail the boat. Simply enjoy the experience while the professional captain, engineer, and crew handle all navigation, maintenance, and logistics.
What water sports and activities are available?
Guests can use e-foil boards, sea wings, water skis, underwater scooters (submarines), kayaks, and a banana boat. The chase boat provides access to shallow anchorages and remote beaches for snorkeling and swimming.
Why avoid Santorini and Mykonos during charter week?
Both islands draw heavy cruise-ship traffic, large crowds of tourists, and ferries that create congestion and wake in the anchorages. The crew prefers quieter, less-crowded bays throughout the Cyclades where you can truly relax and enjoy the Mediterranean.
This walkthrough is invaluable because it goes beyond glossy photos and marketing copy. You see every cabin, understand the trade-offs in layout, hear directly from the crew about their philosophy and experience, and get a realistic picture of daily rhythms—night sailing, early-morning arrivals in quiet bays, and how the chase boat multiplies your flexibility for water sports and exploring.
What impressed me most was the crew's candor and warmth. They don't claim to be perfect; instead, they emphasize being professional yet genuine, and their track record (booked nearly a year in advance) speaks louder than any promise. If you're ready to invest in a week of real luxury—attentive crew, gourmet food, secluded swimming spots, and a changing view every morning—Genny is a serious contender, and this video gives you everything you need to decide.

[Music] I think it's all about the crew it's all about the crew yes it's all about the crew the relationship that we manag to build and that's what the guests see we have the captain the engineer the deand the chief with myself then Diana the hostess and the chef Matia all from Italy and how does she sale beautifully
yeah beautifully we open the sale quite a lot during the day we sale mainly at night because we want our guest to enjoy the um the the day fully so normally by 7:30 8: in the morning we are in a bay and some guests they just love you know to wake up and jump in the water stairway that's why you always want to
be on a boat and not in a villa because you're your view changes EXA morning exactly [Music] exactly chill and relax a little bit because uh in the end people on board they just want to have fun they just want to relax and they want to enjoy and there are some guests who just want to
have fun with you so being yourself being always professional I think it's the key that I'm going to use this here more being also a little bit more spontaneous and not be scared of not be you know the perfect girl uh or the perfect Chief again still being professional and polite but also be
yourself be yourself exactly exactly ah there we go five double cabins so we host 10 guests the kitchen is normally downstairs so he decided to make the saloon a little bit smaller but still big enough to welcome 10 people we have a day head here as well yeah you don't see that often on um
cats so Sun really gone well here and this table is adjustable as well it goes up and down and becomes bigger okay how many ches did you guys do last I think it was between 12 13 okay and this year as well we are already booked for 12 weeks and that means you did a really good job that's one of the master the
amenes that we provide in the cabin are more or less the same in terms of you know towels extra de water we always try to be plastic free uh we have a drinkable water system on board as well in the shower you will find of course um shower gel shampoo conditioner soap everything branded by Salvadore
Ferragamo so Italian brand all the cabins have it double bed the difference in the M you have this big bathroom and a closet oh wow walk-in closet nice features the bed's really low right so with elderly people it's easy to just hop in and out you don't have to go upstairs absolutely so this one is one of the
standard which looks very similar to the previous one as I mentioned the only difference is that you don't have the the mirror and the bathroom maybe it's a little bit smaller and you don't have the walk can close it but still you have plenty of space you know to store personal belonging yes we have a safe as well in
each cabin TV in each cabin still here as I was saying space and consider it's very deep huh mhm I consider that luggage are stored somewhere else another Massa which looks like exactly the same as the previous one cabins are spacious very much I mean you don't spend too much time yeah yeah but
still if you want to just come here and then read the book or uh still you have plenty of space privacy to do [Music] that so this one might feel a little bit smaller for obvious reason that I already explained but still so far we had no complaint and it's still spacious you yes same facility same facility amen
is and of course for privacy we have a sliding door here that closes so and we have the same control from above from upstairs maximum of 10 people 10 guests comfortable very much okay it's a beautiful table huh thank you I'm preparing a kind of biscuit with the flour of corn Racin
flour butter is a typical biscuit of Venice the name is zti Italian Kitchen Greek Kitchen and uh International kitchen so we have to be elastic to do everything we have a canopy coming down all over yeah from from here also rain and wind resistant operatives meals same similar table but even bigger huh
exactly here we have a bar a barbecue uh fridge ice maker main steering wheels with autopilot the speed is between 7 and 10 knots consider that what makes uh us go a little bit slower is because we tow an oopar 37 which is a chase boat that we use for our guests to take them ashore and to do the water sport so
consider that's a really nice feature yes and it has two 300 HP engines and it reaches 40 42 knots this is part of the water toys that we have so sea Wings sea bulb e foil that we have a water skiing uh two subs then in the front you will find the kayak the sofa and the banana so what do you think about the the most
popular islands like mikos and sanini Santorini is not the best for the charter with this kind of boat uh lot of tourist lot of cruise ship and the local uh ship local boat that make a lot of trip and it's not the best place right there are also little place around Migos also nice but Migos for example is very
tourist windy and tourist a lot right it's important for for our clients to understand all the secret area very nice yeah I mean you know she's really popular for a reason uh great crew um you know they're they're a dynamic crew they've been on board together for a while um experienced captain and yeah I
mean Jenny she's got all the bells and whistles um the the axar that they tow um that's a really nice feature um it just opened so many doors when it comes to transfers to and from the boat um water sport um so yeah all all in all I think um J Jen is a really really really great option you know what it's missing
