Justin’s Take

This video is invaluable if you're trying to decide whether Liberty of the Seas is right for your cruise or if you've already booked and want to plan your days. It moves beyond a simple walkthrough by offering the presenter's honest takes on crowd timing, seat-hunting strategies, and which features are genuinely worth your time.

I appreciated how the video grounds every feature in real detail—whether it's the specifics of Splashaway Bay's layout, the enforcement issues with Solarium seating, or why night mini golf beats daytime play. You get a sense of what daily life actually looks like aboard this ship, not just a glossy highlight reel. If you're evaluating this vessel, this tour is essential viewing before you commit.

Liberty of the Seas has been one of Royal Caribbean's most popular ships and whether you have a Liberty of the Seas cruise booked or you're trying to decide whether this ship is right for you, I want to share with you a complete walk-through video that will show you exactly what to expect on board. We're

going to go deck-by-deck from the top of the ship all the way down showing you every major venue, every neighborhood, and pointing out what's new after its recent amplification, what stayed the same, and the little details that can make a big difference once you're on board. I think this is one of Royal

Caribbean's most vastly underrated ships and I want to share with you our first look at everything you can expect while on board up next. Hey everyone, it's Matt from royalcaribbeanblog.com. We're going to begin our ship tour up on the pool deck as we always do with our ship tours and

Liberty of the Seas has a really nice pool deck. Liberty of the Seas is one of the bigger ships within Royal Caribbean's fleet. Being a Freedom class ship, it's about 20 years old having first debuted in 2007. And what you're going to notice about the pool deck is it has definitely more of a Caribbean

tropical vibe to it. One of the changes that Royal Caribbean made was to update the look of it so that it's less just like drab and plain, but more bright and colorful. And so you'll see these fake palm trees and colorful awnings and all the decorations, the chairs even look the part, right? There's also Splashaway

Bay. Splashaway Bay is the kids aqua park on board and this is a place for kids to run up and down and splash and slide and just get utterly soaked. Like a pool, who's got time to actually to jump in there? I want to get utterly wet every which way possible. That's what it's there for. There's also Baby Bay, which

is an area for younger children to go to. This is really meant for kids who are still in swim diapers, but the majority of Splashaway Bay is for kids really of any age that can really fit in here. I mean, it really is a great spot for children to run, splash, and parents can certainly watch from the sidelines.

There is actually a pool within Splashaway Bay, but you're going to notice most of the kids are heading right for the top [music] of Splashaway Bay for the dunk tank and the water slide and really everything else, the geysers. It's a lot of fun. Now, while you're on the pool deck, you don't have

to worry about getting a towel because they have them here for you. You don't need to bring it from your cabin or you can bring it from home. They're complimentary towels. In addition, there are complimentary swim vests. So, if you have young swimmers who are not that good yet, you can borrow those for no

additional cost. Titan Trail is basically a store you can go to to purchase various like swimming and snorkeling gear if you'd like. And also, there's Sprinkles right by Splashaway Bay. Sprinkles is the free, complimentary, included soft serve ice cream that you can get and it's just so

good. I mean, it's vanilla, chocolate, or swirl and it's just fantastic to be able to enjoy unlimited. That's right, kids. As much as you want, it costs your parents nothing and it's open pretty much all day long. So, you have my permission, children or teenagers or aging bloggers, to get as much as you'd

like to. Nearby is El Loco Fresh. I love this restaurant. So, this is an included restaurant with your cruise fare. You can get tacos, burritos, quesadillas, and you can customize it exactly the way you want it. Grab tortilla chips, queso, beans, anything you'd like to, and then go to the fixings bar and top it off

with guacamole or salsa, lettuce, tomato, jalapenos. I mean, it's just so darn good. I mean, it's nothing like special or amazing in the grand scheme of like, "Oh my goodness, it's Mexican food." But, you know what? It's really satisfying food. It could be a meal, it could be a snack, it could be your third

snack of the afternoon. I'm not judging. You can have as much as you'd like to here. It's really, really good to go to El Loco Fresh and I got to tell you, any ship that has it, that's a win in my opinion because at the end of the day, I just love to load up my food. Like, I'll grab like a burrito or even some

tortilla chips and then load up with every single offering they got. Nearby is Cantina Fresca. This is basically El Loco Fresh's bar. So, if you're in the mood for like a margarita and you don't want just plain old stuff, go here instead. The and Coconut is located right in the middle of pool deck. This

is the pool bar on board. What's great about the Lime & Coconut is yeah, of course it's got like pina coladas and margaritas. They can do that for you here, but they can also make all sorts of amazing other drinks. I really recommend the actually the drink called the Lime & Coconut. It is coconuty and

usually not my jam, but I absolutely love it and they have [music] a huge menu of great cocktails and mocktails as well if you're interested in taking full advantage of your drink package. So, look for the Lime & Coconut for some more over there and it's definitely a great pool bar experience. Now, the Lime

& Coconut is actually on two different decks. It's the same bar, same menu, just two locations because stairs, psh, who's got time for that? You're going to go to the nearest bar and you get the same experience. Now, the upstairs Lime & Coconut is nice because it does provide a better view out there with the

pool deck. It could be also a little breezier out here and I love the seating in front of the upper Lime & Coconut. I got to come up with a better name than this. But, really comfortable. I love the Adirondack chairs. I'm a sucker for two things, ladies and gentlemen. Hello Fresh and Adirondack chairs. I mean, I

will go to them every single time. It's amazing. So, we're going to transition now to the upper pool deck and the upper pool deck is where you have well, a lot more chairs. So, there's no actual pool access from the upper pool deck, but there is still a lot happening up here and primarily, if you're in the pool

area of the upper pool deck if that makes sense, there's a lot of loungers. If you want to sun yourself, this is the spot for it. There's also a walking and jogging track that goes around it and if you do like three or four laps, it basically equates about a mile. The only problem with the jogging track, I'll be

honest with all of you, is there can be a lot of people and you're going to be weaving in and out. If you go in the morning like early before 9:00 a.m. or 10:00 a.m., it's not too bad, but in the afternoon, you're playing Frogger and you're the frog, so might not be so great. There are also casitas you can

rent. Casitas do cost extra, but as you can see here, this is a reserved area for you and for some folks, they will prioritize it cuz they listen, it's a reserved area on the pool deck and they can enjoy some great views out here and don't have to worry about the seating. But, fear not, because there's plenty of

free seating on both pool decks. It's just a matter of you getting down there to reserve one before everybody else does. I mean, if you roll into the pool deck, you know, 9:00 a.m. or earlier, you'll have the pick of the litter. But, if you're the type of person who sleeps till 11:00 in

the morning, >> [music] >> and then rolls out at 12:30, not so much. But, you really want to make sure that you get up there early, cuz if you do roll in later on, pool deck seating will be at a premium. Now, let's go to the front of the ship and check out a really fun family activity, and that's the mini golf on

board. And I got to tell you, Royal Caribbean's been adding mini golf courses to all of its ships, and I think it's a fantastic idea. I mean, it's a win-win all around. Basically, you walk to the front of the pool deck, on the upper pool deck that is, and go all the way forward, past all these chairs, and

you'll run into the mini golf course. Liberty Dunes is the name of the course. There is no cost to using the mini golf course, and it's a fun one. It's not just like a here's a bunch of holes to try out. Like, I mean, there are all sorts of creative concoctions, if you will, for this mini golf course. And the

best part about it is it's included, and you can go here both day and night. Most people think, "Oh, I'll go there in the daytime." And that's nothing wrong with that, but I think night mini golf is where it's at. So, definitely make an opportunity to give your family a try at this. I mean, you can keep score, you

don't have to keep score, but let's face it, it's more fun if you have bragging rights if you do win. Overall, the pool deck is just a great spot to hang out for most people [music] who go on a Royal Caribbean cruise, this is what they imagine first. Hanging out at the pool deck, enjoying the sea views, the

sea breeze, and of course, being in and out of the water, maybe with a drink in hand. We're going to move to the front now of the pool deck, because this is the adults-only solarium. [music] The solarium also has a tropical feel a little bit to it, like the regular pool deck. Now, this is adults-only, meaning

you must be 18 years old or older in order to stay in the solarium. Kids can like walk through to go from my point A to point B, but in order to enjoy the pool or the loungers, you must be at least 18 years old. Now, there is no roof to this pool either. I mean, some Royal Caribbean ships do have [music] an

indoor solarium. This is not one of them, but what's nice about this is that the solarium is a lot quieter than the main pool. There's no DJ, there's no music here. [music] It's a lot more sedate and obviously only adults, so less kids yelling and screaming. [music] Nearby, there are also some hot tubs.

These are actually cantilevered hot tubs that look over the side of the ship. The really cool things about these, number one, they're massive. You can fit a lot of people in here. And number two, the views. great is you can swim up to the edge and look out there. Really, really nice. You'll also find the solarium bar,

which is, yep, you guessed it, a bar within the solarium. This offers you drinks [music] while you're in the solarium. There is pool service from waiters both in the regular pool and the solarium, but hey, sometimes you just got to belly up to the bar and grab yourself a drink. You'll also find the

solarium bar, the ship's juice bar. So, this is kind of a newer addition that offers you smoothies and fresh juices and build-your-own concoctions. For a lot of people who are looking for smoothies, it's available at the solarium bar, so you can go here and check it out. Now, in addition, there

are plenty of loungers around the solarium. I'll admit, I bet you the solarium will be the most contentious spot on the ship to get a seat. I mean, there are chair hogs everywhere, but the chair hogs wake up extra early for the solarium. Unfortunately, while Royal Caribbean does have rules about the

solarium and seating and reserving of seating, they're not very well enforced, so really just don't wait too long to grab yourself a seat. Overall, the solarium is a great spot for adults to check out and chill out. If you're not looking for a party vibe or music or energy, the solarium is definitely the

place for you. Now, we'll walk across the pool deck to the sports deck and check out what's on the back of the ship. Odds are you're going to notice all of these things as you're pulling up to the ship on the very first day, and I absolutely love it. So, moving backwards now on deck 12

towards the back of the ship, we're going to find a variety of activities starting with Johnny Rockets. Johnny Rockets is a specialty restaurant. There's a cover charge to dine here. There's both indoor and outdoor seating. And Johnny Rockets is basically your classic American food. Burgers, hot

dogs, grilled cheese, chili dogs, French fries. There's a lot here. Milkshakes as well, should mention that, it's very popular. And there is a cover charge to dine here. If you have a dining package, you can use it over here, although I think it's a waste of money. I think quite frankly, if you want to eat at

Johnny Rockets, you're better off paying {quote} cash for it. I mean, just charge your SeaPass card. Because the cover charge is not very expensive, especially compared to other specialty restaurants. I mean, it's burgers and hot dogs. And for some people, they just want to have that kind of a meal. So, there's an

option for you as well. We're going to head on further back, and you're going to find some ping pong tables. Table tennis, I call it ping pong tables. But this is your opportunity to try to play ping pong, table tennis, whatever you want to call it. Most of the time, it's just free play. Royal Caribbean does

occasionally offer tournaments, in which you can play someone named Earl and give it a try. Towards the very back, there are more lounges that look at the back of the ship. Kind of a neat spot that probably most people will never go to. There is a FlowRider surf simulator on board Liberty of the Seas. This is an

opportunity for you to try your hand at stand up surfing, or something resembling that anyway. When you first start off, you'll do boogie boarding or body boarding. And then if you got the skills, they'll let you try to do stand up surfing. I mean, it is difficult. There's a learning curve to it. But if

you can get it, then you can impress all your friends and everyone else by doing this. Me, I would get about half a second on there, and then whoop, go right on my face and back to the back. But if you want to give it a try, it's there, and it's included. No cruise cost for it. Although if you want to do

lessons, or something like that, that would cost you extra. >> [music] >> Something else included in your cruise fare are the two water slides on board. These are racer water slides, and the difference between the orange and the green? Nothing. They're the same slide. It's just who can go down there faster.

The idea is that you race whomever you are near as you're at the very top of the slide, and see who can get out there at the bottom first. The great thing about these water slides is they're included. They're a lot lot fun, and something to check out. [music] Something else you'll only find on

Liberty of the Seas is the Tidal Wave water slide. This is a boomerang slide and this thing is a one-trick pony, but it's a lot of fun. You get up there on the raft, you go all the way up and all the way back down. It's kind of a cool experience because as you slide up there, you get a moment of like zero

gravity or something like that. Less gravity, I don't know. So, it just feels really cool. It's a lot of fun, something to try out. There's also a sports court on board. The sports court is also included in your cruise fare. A lot of times it's open for free play. There are also organized events. You'll

find basketball, volleyball, pickleball, soccer, other games, dodgeball I've seen up here as well. And this is actually very popular. I mean, there's things happening here all the time. I guarantee you if you walk by the sports court, there will be somebody playing some activity. And as I mentioned, Royal

Caribbean likes to organize a ton of activities here throughout the day. So, check the Royal Caribbean app for when these events will be happening. You'll also find a rock wall, also included in your cruise fare. The rock wall offers different courses with different difficulty. So, there are like a

beginner's one and more advanced ones and for people that edit [music] YouTube videos, there's even a more advanced course. The idea behind the rock wall is you try to get all the way to the top. I mean, you can stop anytime you want, but if you get all the way to the top, you get to ring the bell and let everyone

know and brag about it. So, there you have it. Sports Deck has got a lot of activities and pretty much everything's included back here. So, it's kind of a cool thing to check out. I'd recommend trying it maybe on a sport day cuz it gets very busy, especially those water slides. In fact, bring your bathing suit

on embarkation day to avoid the line. All right, after all that activity, I need something to eat. We're going to check out the Windjammer Marketplace. The Windjammer is the complimentary buffet. As you walk in, first you'll need to wash your hands, washy washy. And this is very important for your own

benefit and health, that is. So, of course, you can stop at any of the hand washing stations and wash your hands as you walk in. But the Windjammer buffet is the classic cruise buffet. Walking in is the Plaza Bar. This is the Windjammer Bar, basically. So, not only can you enjoy plenty of food, but there's also

drinks you can get here, sodas, beers, cocktails, juices, energy drinks, coffees in fact. They have everything over here. Simply stop on by and order something if you'd like at the Plaza Bar. In fact, there are also waiters that will come get your drink orders from the tables. But within the Windjammer, this

is available included in your cruise fare, breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day. In fact, when you board the ship, this will be where you'll probably eat lunch on embarkation day. And it's a very popular option, which means it'll be crowded. But it's actually really good cuz I love the sheer variety. I

mean, you've got so many different foods, which is great for picky eaters or adventurous eaters. Because you not only have hot dogs and burgers here and pizza, you'll also have Indian curries, and you'll have ratatouille, and you'll have so many creations. I mean, I think you'll be very impressed how much

variety there is. Breakfast is pretty much same every day. But for lunch and especially dinner, there is a pretty good variety of food that does change. Especially for dinner, there's a different theme every night. There's always the classics on here. So, this is a really good backup option. It's open,

as I mentioned, breakfast, lunch, dinner. Not open like all day long to take breaks in order to restaff it and resupply it, but it's open for most hours of the day. It gets very busy. There's seating in the back and along the sides. Again, my advice is if you can avoid like 9:00 a.m. and noon time,

which are the busiest times for breakfast and lunch, it won't be too too bad. Dinner's not usually too bad, but yeah, anyway. There are two specialty restaurants within the Windjammer, actually. So, if you're looking for these, this is where these two exist. And Royal Caribbean offers specialty

restaurants at an additional cost. First up is Chops Grille. Chops Grille is Royal Caribbean's signature steakhouse restaurant. This is where you can go to get all sorts of steaks. There's a cover charge to dine here, and you're going to find, you know, New York strip steaks, filet mignon. You're also going to find

lobster available here, as well as chicken, salmon. I mean, they've got some great soups here. The sides are amazing. But I think ultimately, if you're going to Chops Grille, you should be getting a steak or two. It is really darn good. And of course, going to Chops Grille for a lot of people is like all

special restaurants. It's like, "Yeah, something special to do." It is open for dinner every single night of your cruise, and it'll be open for lunch on sea days primarily. It's not usually open when your ship is in port. But, Chops is available for you. I'd recommend pre-booking before the cruise

[music] because the prices definitely are higher if you wait to book it on board the ship. So, definitely do yourself favor and pre-book. Similarly, right across the way is Giovanni's Table. Giovanni's Table is Royal Caribbean's classic Italian restaurant. This is where you're going to find

basically all your typical Italian food, pastas and lasagna. I mean, there's nothing like two like, "I can't believe they put it here." But, it's classic Italian food. Hard to go wrong with it. And just like Chops Grille, you can book it before the cruise. I'd recommend booking it before your sailing begins.

In fact, a dining package might save you a lot of money. So, consider that if you're in the market for getting probably more than one specialty restaurant, a dining package almost certainly will save you money here. But, I do think the Giovanni's Table food is excellent, and I'm going to say one more

thing. There's a good tip about this. Their filet mignon might be better than the one at Chops Grille. Let me know in the comments below if you think I'm right about that. But, I think Giovanni's filet is actually better than Chops. Call me crazy, but my only opinion on there. But, anyway,

Giovanni's Table open for dinner every day and lunch on sea days. Let's head upstairs to the Olive or Twist Bar. This is actually the very top of Liberty of the Seas, and it's basically an enclosed indoor bar with sweeping views of the pool deck and everything around you. It's one of the

best vantage points you'll find on the ship, and it's really impressive just how much you can see from here. I mean, the views are incredible. And it's air-conditioned. In addition, it's oftentimes turned into the club at night. So, in the late night hours, that's what it'll be. But, during the

daytime and even the early evening, it's a great spot for a cocktail, coffee, read a book, and just enjoy [music] the world going by. I have to say that while there are some activities that are healthier during the day, including maybe some trivia events and other things, when it's not too busy, it can

actually be a great spot to go hang out in, especially in the early morning before about noon or so. I usually find it pretty darn empty. But, this is a great place actually for sail away. If it's too hot or rainy or just not to your liking, this is a great area. There's a bar. >> [music]

>> You can go grab your drink, sit by the window, and enjoy some fantastic views. I think this is really what makes the Freedom class ships just so darn impressive. I mean, I love how much views there are back here. In addition, you'll find the Crown Lounge over here. The Crown Lounge is a special lounge

just for members of the Crown and Anchor Society, which is Royal Caribbean's loyalty program, that are diamond, diamond plus, or pinnacle club members. Access to the lounge is available 24 hours a day, and all you have to do is swipe your SeaPass card to get in. Then, you have access to the lounge itself.

Plus, during special hours of the day, there are hors d'oeuvres and special snacks. There's a 24-hour coffee machine you can use. I mean, this really is meant to be a place for you to go and enjoy as being a top-tier member. In addition, the diamond concierge is here to help you with any issues you may

need. Think of them kind of like your own little guest services than going downstairs. The diamond concierge can help you with reservations, billing issues, and generally any other questions. A lot of people that cruise a lot with Royal Caribbean will tell you the Crown Lounge is really about one

thing, and that's just getting to meet other people and being a little social. There's also an outdoor seating area for the Crown Lounge. So, there's an indoor lounge and an outdoor area. And this is probably one of the least frequented places on the ship. I mean, I would just love going out here. It's great if you

have to do some work remotely, you want to read a book, or simply meet some other fellow cruise guests. It's really neat to get in here. And because it's included as a diamond member or above, it's really nice. Now, we didn't have suite on this cruise. But, you know what the good news

is? The suite lounge on Liberty looks exactly like the suite lounge on Freedom of the Seas. And the layout configuration exactly the same. If you're staying in a suite, which is a grand suite or higher, sorry, no junior suite guests allowed, you're have access to the suite lounge. The suite lounge is

kind of the crown lounge, a dedicated area just for guests who are staying in [music] a suite or they're pinnacle club members. In addition, there is a suite concierge who can also help you with any issues, and there's an indoor and outdoor seating area. The biggest difference between the suite lounge and

the crown lounge is in the suite lounge, you have complimentary drinks, a happy hour in the evening, and it doesn't cost you anything extra to use them here. Whereas in the crown lounge, those drinks do have a little bit of an extra cost to them or you use your diamond vouchers if you'd like to. But being in

a suite, it's really nice having access to that. So I got to say it's a nice perk. At the very, very, very, very top of the ship is the Skylight Chapel. This is actually used to be a church, still is a church, but it gets used as a combination of two things. Church uh for weddings and things of that

nature, and also conference issues and conference center stuff, like meetings and whatever else may come your way with there. Odds are, I'm going to bet you you're probably never going to come up here because you don't have a meeting. But if you did have a meeting room, well, this will be available for you,

the Skylight meeting room is if you were on board with a group. All right, let's head down the ship to the main dining room for our next stop on this tour, and this is the place where you'll probably have a meal or two on board. The main dining room is open for dinner every night of your cruise, as well as

breakfast every morning. It's also open for lunch on sea days. And the main dining room is an absolutely exquisite and beautiful place. I love the look of it. I think it's absolutely fantastic. And what's really neat about the main dining room is that you can go here every day of your cruise and enjoy a

really great meal. Every day in the main dining room, there's a different theme to the menu. So it might be American night, might be French night, might be Caribbean night while you're on board, and the service is fantastic. It's table seating. You get to say I mean, it really feels like a fancy meal without

being overly fancy. Certainly their themes help change things up in the that's always the same food all the time, I think is a bonus. But on top of that, I mean, check out this view and how nice this main dining room looks. There's actually three different decks and Royal Caribbean offers you the

choice of traditional dining or My Time Dining. You'll choose this when you make your cruise reservation. The idea is simple. With traditional dining, you have the same table, same time, and same tablemates, and same waiters every day of your cruise. If you do My Time Dining, there's a little more

flexibility with that, but you have to make reservations in order to get in or wait in the standby line. So, it's up to you what the main dining room is, what choice there is. But next up on our tour is the Royal Promenade. This is really the heartbeat of the ship, where so much is going on and there's going to be a

lot to check out. So, let's go and see everything you can do on the Royal Promenade here on Royal Caribbean's Liberty of the Seas. You really should think of the Royal Promenade as basically where you'll find a lot of activities, events, and places to go. I mean, there's a lot happening here in

the Royal Promenade. It's right in the middle of the ship. It's like a giant mall, if you will. I don't know if that's appropriate kind of description, but go with it. First up, we have the R Bar. The R Bar is your classic cruise [music] bar here with various cocktails. It's supposed to be kind of a mixologist

type place, but really, it's your generic, "Hey, we're on a cruise ship. Here's a cruise ship bar." And what's great about it, it's great for people watching, number one. I mean, you can see a lot from this R Bar. And what I like about it is that they have a nice selection of drinks. Also, the

bartenders can just really make something different for you. But again, I think the people watching and the fact that it's right smack-dab over here off the Royal Promenade and makes it a fantastic location. Right across the way is Guest Services. Guest Services is where you can go to have any questions,

problems, or concerns all on board the ship. If you misplaced your SeaPass card, you have a billing issue, just trying to figure something out, there's a problem on board, you can go here. In addition, there's the Zoom Desk nearby. If you purchased a Royal Caribbean internet package or want to purchase a

package, you can go here and they can assist you with that, right next to Guest Services. Truly, Guest Services is where you'll go for any issues you might have on board. I think the biggest thing is always just like billing issues and if it's like me, oops, I lost my CPass card, but they're

available 24 hours a day. Also nearby is Next Cruise. Next Cruise is where you can go to book another Royal Caribbean cruise and you're probably asking yourself, well, should I book my cruise on board? >> [music] >> If you're actually on Liberty of the Seas right now and you're thinking to

yourself, yeah, I'd love to book another cruise, absolutely go to Next Cruise because you'll get some extra bonuses there. But if you're watching this at home, I would say you're better off still booking your cruise now at home because the price could go up between now and when you get on board the ship.

But Next Cruise is really for folks who are on board the ship and thinking to themselves, I'd love to book another one, that's available for you. Nearby, of course, is the Cafe Promenade and I love Cafe Promenade. This is an included option for you that has coffees, teas, and snacks. Now, some of

the basic coffee and tea, that's included, but they also have like lattes and frappuccinos and that costs extra. But the snacks are all included and I got to say Cafe Promenade is my favorite places to go in the morning, grab a coffee, and then go and maybe do some work, maybe grab a pastry. The regular

coffee and decaf and iced tea available here is pretty darn good. There's also water available and this is available for you pretty much all day and all night, so check that out. There's a lot of seating and a lot of people love going here for people watching, meeting up with friends and family, all that

good stuff. Nearby is the Cupcake Cupboard and they do sell cupcakes here. What's interesting about the Cupcake Cupboard, it's harder to say than it sounds, is that they have really over the top, really pretty cupcakes. Now, everything here does cost extra, but if you're in the mood for like a really good cupcake

with a ton of frosting, well, then this is the option for you. In addition, Royal Caribbean sometimes offers cupcake decorating classes in which you can learn to decorate the cupcakes like they do, but it's an option for you and again, that will cost extra as well. Across the way is the ice

cream shop and here you'll be able to get ice cream by the scoop, be served in either a cone or the cup and you might be saying, well, why would I pay for ice cream here versus ice cream that you'd find, [music] you know, up at Sprinkles, which we saw a little bit earlier. And the difference

is the flavors because upstairs is just vanilla and chocolate, right? Here you have a ton of other flavors and you have the ability to add toppings to it. So, there's that option as well. Also, you'll find the popcorn machine which yes, also costs extra as well. I'll tell you something, I'm a sucker for popcorn

on Royal Caribbean so I always pay for it. Whereas the ice cream, you know what? Sometimes you're just in the mood for like a coffee ice cream, man, I'll go for that all the time. And sometimes people get a sundae and things like that. Okay, let's keep going. We'll find lots of other shops here on the Royal

Promenade. I mean, the Royal Promenade is a mix of dining, shopping, places to hang out really. And there are a lot of different shops on board the Royal Promenade here on Liberty of the Seas. Now, every shop has kind of a theme like there's, you know, generic shopping where you can find like, you know,

clothes and souvenirs and water bottles and something with Royal Caribbean on it or Liberty of the Seas on it. You've got those options for you when you go into these shops. Again, it's a mix sometimes of Royal Caribbean merchandise and then more generic merchandise, things that are like almost name brand things you

can get. In addition, there's perfume and there's cosmetic options. As well, there's also an entrance to the casino here on the Royal Promenade, but we'll get to that a little bit later in our tour. But just to know that you can get from the Royal Promenade to the casino quite easily. But before we get over

there, let's continue on our tour here on the Royal Promenade and we're going to be stopping at one of my favorite places, the Hoof and Claw Pub. I love English pubs on Royal Caribbean. I think it's absolutely fantastic because they have not only a great array of drinks, but the there's a pub singer in here.

Every evening there is a someone who sings and with a guitar and plays music and I absolutely love it. It's bar songs. It's the songs that you're used to hearing in a pub, in a bar, somewhere and I just love the ambiance, I love the energy. Like just having a pint of Guinness and listening to a Metallica

song or Nirvana song or a Guns N' Roses song, I mean, it's just one of my favorite place to hang out. And so every evening, if I'm on Liberty of the Seas, there's a really good chance this is exactly where I would be while on board the ship. Across the way is Vintages, and Vintages

is the wine bar on board. Vintages wine bar offers wines by both the glass and the bottle. And if you're a wine connoisseur, if you're somebody who really likes wine, and you want to go beyond just something like, "Hey, a bottle of red I'd like," then this is the place to go for you because of the

widest selection of wines here. I'll also add that Vintages has like the most comfy chairs you'll find anywhere on the ship. I mean, during the daytime it's a little quiet in here, and I'm going to admit I bring my laptop and skip the wine and simply work from the really comfortable chairs. It's really nice.

But obviously, for wine lovers, I mean, this is a great spot. Right outside is a classic Morgan car. Yeah, this is a real car, but it's kind of a signature of a Freedom class ship to have that classic car on board. Keep going on our tour here, we have Sorrento's Pizza, and for a lot of

people, this is like their favorite thing on Royal Caribbean. Sorrento's Pizza. This pizza is included in your cruise fare. There is cheese pizza and pepperoni every day and all night long. And in addition, they usually have a variety or two other pizza that are kind of like changes daily. But this pizza is

included. It's not bad. It's not like the best pizza you've ever had in the world. I mean, it's not New Haven, Connecticut pizza, but it's pretty darn good. And you know what? It hits the spot, especially if you're looking for a late night snack. It's hard to go wrong with Sorrento's Pizza. I mean, Royal

Caribbean does a good job with it, and you can get it by the slice. If you want to get one slice, eight slices, that's up to you. You can certainly request it. Right outside of it is one of the many Coca-Cola Freestyle machines on board, and you need to have a soda package or a souvenir soda cup that you can purchase

if you have a different drink package, but nonetheless, it only works with the souvenir soda cup that you get with the drink package. And the idea here is simple. You get to use the cup to activate it and get all sorts of concoctions that go well beyond just simply Coke. But Sorrento's, I think for a lot of

folks, is really a great spot to go and enjoy, you know, just a lot of pizza. The Royal Promenade will also host different events on board. There will be live music, there's a veterans tribute, there can be dance parties. I mean, check the Royal Caribbean app, obviously, for everything happening on

board the ship, but you'll find a lot of activities on the Royal Promenade. The daytime is a little tamer, it's a little quieter, but in the evening, I mean, it is going to be something happening on the Royal Promenade, and it does get loud. And they want to energy to it. They want people to have a good time,

and so you'll generally find the Royal Promenade to be probably where you're spending a lot of time. Probably the pool deck and the Royal Promenade are two places you'll spend the most time while on board your cruise ship. And honestly, I probably spent the most time on Liberty of the Seas right here on the

Promenade. There's just so much happening, so many great bars and places to hang out. Next on our tour is the Star Lounge. The Star Lounge is a multi-purpose lounge at the very front of the ship off the Royal Promenade. This is where you'll go for probably trivia, bingo, and even live

musical performances. The Star Lounge has this kind of generic theme to it, but the idea is that Royal Caribbean holds different events throughout the day. I mean, during a sea day, there will probably be an event in here like almost every hour, and it really does change it up depending on what Royal

Caribbean is looking to do with it. So, if you have an event on here, this is where the Star Lounge is located at the very front of the ship, and like I said, odds are I probably go here the most for like trivia and maybe some of the live performances cuz there is a stage over there, and it's a nice little It's

actually a very large It's not a little space. It's not that little. Also, we have a Royal Escape Room. Royal Caribbean offers an escape room you can purchase that has a mission to it, and the idea is you have a limited amount of time to solve a puzzle and get out of there. Up on deck nine is the ship's library,

and library might be a generous term for it. It's a room with books, not a lot of them, but you can bring your own books. It's more of a quiet space where you can go here and, you know, play a game like a board game or read a book. [music] You can borrow a book. Royal Caribbean has a

very limited variety of them, but you could do that or simply bring your own book and enjoy a place to read that's not necessarily around the pool deck. Again, they want to be, I guess, a quieter spot, but it's not like a traditional library where someone's going to shush you. I mean, it's not

like that at all. All right, let's head down to deck four and check out more of what's on board this amazing ship. I mean, I think you'll be surprised how many different things you can find on Liberty of the Seas. And deck four, which is right under the Royal Promenade, offers almost as much as the

Royal Promenade does, but doesn't have a fancy name. Anyway, first up is Starbucks. The Starbucks kiosk does cost extra to go here, and it's a lot like a Starbucks that you've ever been to at at maybe your Target store or your supermarket. I mean, it's Starbucks. It has the Starbucks drinks. They have the

limited-time menu stuff like the red cups and pumpkin spice lattes and whatnot, but everything here costs extra. You can use your Starbucks app to pay for drinks. You can actually earn stars while you're doing that, but you can't redeem any rewards here. So, it's a licensed Starbucks kiosk, but for

folks that really love it, it's a great choice. Right across the way is one of the other bars, which is Boleros. Boleros is >> [music] >> a Latin-themed bar, and it has special drinks here as well. It has its own menu, and in the evening it really gets going because they have live music here

that goes right along with that theme. It is absolutely fantastic. [music] I love Boleros. I mean, I think it's a fantastic place to go to. The energy, the music, and the drinks. I mean, a mojito, caipirinha, I mean, it is so good. I'd recommend at least trying out the drink menu here, especially if you

have a drink package. Boleros is an underrated bar to check out. So, definitely go here. Odds are, when you're walking around the ship in the evening, you'll probably hear the music from Boleros. It's that loud in here, but it's purposely done that way cuz they wanted to have a lot of energy.

All right, next up is Casino Royale. And Casino Royale on Liberty of the Seas is pretty darn big. The casino offers a variety of gaming options. Obviously, the casino costs extra to go here, but there are slot machines, there are table games, and the idea is quite simple. You try your luck at winning, and really

Royal Caribbean has placed a lot more of the emphasis on its casinos compared to what they did a couple of years ago, which is basically means there's a lot more space to it. So, there's more opportunities. Royal Caribbean's casino on Liberty of the Seas is split into a smoking and non-smoking section, but

it's kind of like an old airplane where they used to have like one side was smoking, one side was non-smoking. I mean, the smoke still permeates, [music] so I can't pretend that it's exactly perfect in that way, but they do offer a non-smoking side with Casino Royale. With the casino, there's really two

benefits, I think. Number one, winning money, I hope. And the other is, if you gamble enough, you might win actually some extra perks and benefits for being a loyal member, but that's up for a different video. When you exit the casino, you'll actually find the Schooner Bar. Schooner

Bar is a classic bar for [music] Royal Caribbean. I mean, this is the piano bar, and during the daytime, similar to the Star Lounge, you'll find variety of activities, primarily trivia, they do like napkin folding, things of that nature. But in the evening, my goodness, this is one of the most popular bars

because they have a piano player who plays music. Similar to the pub, but this time they instead of using a guitar, they use the piano, and it's utterly fantastic. I mean, a lot of fun. People love that. Right across from the Schooner Bar is Izumi. Izumi is the Japanese specialty restaurant, which

costs extra. Primarily, it is a hibachi restaurant, which means there's teppanyaki-style dining. Chefs do tricks, cook in front of you. It's a lot of fun, great family activity, and probably, if you're going to do one specialty restaurant on board, I'd probably pick this one cuz it's just a

great family-friendly opportunity. There is sushi as well. In fact, Royal Caribbean has a little sushi bar there, and a table or here, too. But the hibachi is by far the most popular option. It's also the most options you have within this particular restaurant, but there is a sushi side as well, and

you can order sushi at any time, even if from the hibachi table. That's available for you, so check that out. But I think if you have a dining package, or you're looking for like one night out to do something special and fun, and you have people of all ages, hibachi is a great choice for you. We're going to head

outside because actually, Deck 4 has an outside deck. It wraps all the way around, but unlike the pool deck, there's not a jogging track here. This is more of a classic pool deck cruise ship vibe. I mean, there are chairs, endless views. What I love about it is yes, they do have shuffleboard and the

views. Like my favorite thing to do sometimes is just go down here, sit in one of the chairs, and just kind of chill out and relax and enjoy the views. It actually goes all the way to the front of the ship where you'll find the helipad. And the helipad you can actually access on Liberty of the Seas.

You just walk all the way forward on deck four, and there are some fantastic views. I mean, this is the best spot for sail away because you just have the best darn view out there. There's nothing in front of you. I mean, it's just perfect. And it does get warm because there's absolutely no shade. There's also no

bar. But if you're looking for the best vantage point, it's great. Otherwise, you know, hop in one of these chairs, enjoy the view, and you know, have a chat with your friend, and just see you what passes by. It's really nice. Next up is the Platinum Theater, the Royal Theater on board the ship. And Royal

Caribbean offers different shows. And one of the best reasons to go on Liberty of the Seas is the Saturday Night Fever Broadway show. In addition, there are other shows like The Price Is Right. They'll do the Love and Marriage game show. Every show shown in the Royal Theater is included in your cruise fare.

I mean, The Price Is Right has an extra cost if you choose to do that, but you can certainly be in the audience for no extra cost in here. But the fact that you have a Broadway show like Saturday Night Fever included in your cruise fare is incredible. This is the real show that one you find on Broadway. There's

also a bar nearby, so you don't have to go very far to grab a drink for any of the entertainment that's shown in here. There are usually waiters that walk around and they'll take your order, but if push comes to shove and you need to get a drink, well, you have that option here within the Royal Theater. And yes,

there's another popcorn machine. I mean, [music] yeah, it's $3 for popcorn. I'll tell you what, I love it. I buy it every time. I'm just a sucker for it. It smells so good. But when you're in the Royal Theater, it's massive. It's two decks high and both on deck four and deck five, and I think it's just an

underrated [music] spot to go to and some great entertainment. In the atrium area, you'll find the art gallery. Royal Caribbean has art auctions on board of the ship. Similar to the casino, it's just a different way you can spend your money. It's up to you if you'd like to. The art gallery is really meant to sell

artwork and the idea is to go to one of these art auctions, bid for it, and see if you can, you know, win the bidding war, so to speak. Just like the casino again, there are some people that absolutely love the art auctions and there are people that hate the art auctions, but hey, they exist over here.

So, if you wanted to do that, that's an option for you, but of course it definitely costs much, much extra. Moving on from the atrium, we'll have the shore excursions and photo gallery. [music] This is a combo space where if you have any questions about shore excursions or want to book one, you can go down here

and do that. In addition, the focus photo gallery is where you go to actually purchase any of the photos on board. Royal Caribbean has photographers all around the ship that will take your photos and [music] when you after you take them, you go down to the photo gallery, view your prints, and either

opt print them out, digital download, you can buy a package, all available for you. Studio B is also located down here and Studio B is the ice rink on board. So, you'll find an ice skating show on board your ship and it's included in your cruise fare. And listen, it's a little kitchy, but it's fun, good family

entertainment, and I think it's actually very impressive some of the tricks that these [music] skaters can do. I definitely recommend checking out the show here. No matter how what you think about, you know, ice skating, I'm telling you it's actually much better than you think. And some of these

skaters are really talented. In fact, many of them were former touring national champions in their home countries. In addition, if you're thinking to yourself, I'd love to try ice skating, you could do that. Royal Caribbean will provide all the gear for you. All you need are a pair of socks

and long pants and you can go for ice skating while on board the ship. All right, let's go upstairs to see a few things we didn't see yet. There's still more on this tour. Isn't it incredible how much Royal Caribbean can put in just one ship? First up is Adventure Ocean. Adventure Ocean is the kids club on

board the ship. Royal Caribbean separates the kids club based on ages. There's Adventure Ocean babies for 6 to 36-month-old kids. Now, this does cost extra because for the nursery with babies it's more specialized. But when you get to the Adventure Ocean juniors and so forth from ages 3 [music] to 17,

that's including your cruise fare. So, you're seeing some clips here from different Adventure Oceans like Freedom of the Seas, but honestly these bases are so similar you wouldn't know the difference. So, keep in mind that Adventure Ocean offers this to you. You can register your kids for Adventure

Ocean on embarkation day. You can do it anytime, but I recommend doing it on embarkation day. And there's also a teen club. So, Adventure Ocean is really up to about 11 12 years old and then the teen club starts up for the older kids and they have their own separate area. In addition, there's also an arcade

which you may or may not want to tell your kids actually exists on this ship because everything in the arcade costs extra. There's claw machines and racing games and shooting games and that weird Frogger game I don't understand, but they have all these games over here. Every game costs extra.

Every game you pay like per game to play. Um they're at least a couple dollars per. I'd warn you they're addictive. Your kids are going to ask you to do it over and over and over again, but I'll simply tell you that it exists and if you choose to go here well, Royal Caribbean wasn't dumb. They

put it right by Adventure Ocean. Meanwhile, the kids club I think is one of the most underrated things about the ship. So, you got kids that are that age, definitely check it out. Next up is the spa and board. And there is a spa for you to check out, both a spa and fitness center. Now, the spa costs

extra, fitness center included. For the spa, I mean just like the art auction and the casino, if you're into just indulging and treating yourself, this is what the spa is all about. You can purchase treatments before the cruise or while on board. There's also a salon in order to get your hair done, your nail

done, whatever you'd like to do. You can treat yourself in all those many different ways. Now, everything can be booked like I had mentioned before the cruise or on board the ship. The advantage of booking before the cruise is individual treatments can be a lot less and you might be able to get a specific time

that you really really want. The Vitality Fitness Center is actually very impressive. I mean, I love gyms on cruise ships. They're massive. They have a ton of machines and it's not like, you know, the fitness center at your Marriott that has like, you know, weight center in the corner. I mean, it's big.

It has a lot of machines. They're fairly updated, not brand new machines. I love what's available here. There's a lot of room to work out, free weights, you've got different machines and treadmills and everything else in between. I got to say, when I go to do my workout on board a Royal Caribbean ship, I mean, it's

kind of the highlight cuz it's way better than my gym at home, and it's included. There are fitness classes that do cost extra, but to use the machines and everything we've seen here so far on this video tour, all included, available 24 hours a day. I think it's absolutely incredible, and the fitness center

should not be overlooked for anybody who's looking for that. Now, we haven't looked yet at all the cabins on board. Royal Caribbean offers cabins of variety of sizes and budgets. You've got small inside cabins, balcony cabins, giant suites. I mean, the choice of which cabin to book, we could do an entire

video on that. In fact, we have done an entire video on it. But really, here you have an inside cabin. All rooms have the basics, and then beyond that, they just get bigger, right? You have [music] your own bedroom, you have your own private bathroom, a sitting area, a vanity, couch, TV, a safe, closet, a mirror, and

that's basically it. This is what an inside room looks like. And for a lot of people, this is all they need. This is a place to change, sleep, and, you know, shower, basically. So, anyway, Liberty of the Seas, great ship. I mean, it's a great value, and there's a lot more on board than you might think for a ship

that's of this age. Royal Caribbean has added a few new things to the ship over the last couple of years, but most importantly, it's a great ship for families because there's so much to do on board, and it really does not compromise compared to other newer Royal Caribbean ships. Hey, maybe it might

even be a great choice because it costs you a lot less without really compromising on all the fun things to do on board. Hope you enjoyed this video tour, of course.
